Soccer started this week. I thought I was conditioning enough before the season started, with all the cardio I was doing. (10 miles on the eliptical + 15 miles on the bike + 30 minutes on the rowing machine + God knows how many laps in the pool?) Apparently for some girls on the team, pacing yourself = sprinting down the hallway while dodging teachers. Yeah, that was almost fun. I love soccer though, so I shouldn't really complain. I'm just sore, because my right hip decided to mess itself up in the middle of practice. It feels like a couple of pebbles stuck between the joint and the bone. Now it click when I run. Not audibly, I suppose.
Ben's back from Ireland, which is rockin', because school became rather dulling after the first half of his absence, not to mention the lack of entertainment during lunch. No one really knew what to do with his spot across from me at the table. It was funny; people left it empty the first couple of days, like he was going to jump out and attack the next person that attempted to sit there. Then Mindy took it over, which was greatly appreciated by me, because it's rather nice to have someone to interact with, instead of the person's back the next table over. Anyway, he brought me this really cool shirt from a grocery store that was called my last name. It got me excited, because then my dad's cousin didn't screw up her geneology and we must have some distant relations in North Antrim, or in that general area, at least. I have to remember to call my grandparents and tell them.
Ah well, enough for now, I suppose. Must get ready for yoga and eat more Grapenuts.
