Blueberry Yogurt

My junior prom, I have deduced, was like blueberry yogurt. I liked the idea of it, and it had good intentions, but it left a nasty aftertaste. Plus, there were no real tans, nails, in some cases hair, etc. as there were no real blueberries to be found in my rather disappointing unrecyclable container of yog- mush. However, I am happy to say that I had no part in the creation of either. Prom around here is the most overrated event of the year, but, of course, this being my big JUNIOR PROM and all, I decided to go, and later successfully guilt-tripped Ben in to accompanying me. Sadly, the dj was terrible, as all of his musical selections were skipping or just refusing to play, and, while the junior court attempted to trick us into believing we were dancing the night away at a suaree in a James Bond flick, we were, in all actuality, still in a highschool gym. I have to give them credit for trying, though. I highly doubt any friend of James Bond would be as tasteful as to get a balloon fountain.

The battle of the bands was great, and ended as predicted. Bold Minority won. They deserved it. I really wish I had had my video camera with me. It never really sunk in that it was their last (as in final) show. Pretty soon it'll be a last time for a lot of things...

Oh well, I've got spanish and APUSH tests to study for. And maybe I'll go eat some icecream...

The world is going to end.

I came home from soccer practice in good spirits: it was sunny, I was muddy, and I didn't have much homework, aside from APUSH, which is always a given. I was pretty hungry as well, so I went to the fridge to get something to eat and *GASP*

WE HAVE NO CHEESE. NONE.

I think I'm going to cry.

Holy crap we won...

1-0. We won. As in they lost. And I had some awesome clears and even more awesome throw-ins, if I do say so myself. AND I played nearly the entire game; Pam took me out with only five minutes left at the end of both halves to give me a break. I am quite pleased.

My dear Mr. Naff, you have missed quite a game.

Results

We won one game, and lost the other two. Big surprise. That's exactly what happened last year. Same teams too. *sigh* Ah well. It was exceptionally humid that day. Not that it's an excuse, because we could have done loads better, but it was a factor. The warm air made me really groggy. We have a home game tomorrow against Valley Christian. I probably won't bother posting any results for that one.

Best be off...have a math review and some APUSH to read. Plus, mom's making French/Freedom toast with strawberries, and I think I heard her just call Ryan in to eat, so I better go stake my claim.

Shawno Tourney

Ah, Saturday morning, 6:27 AM. I cannot think of a more spectacular way to begin my day than with three soccer games. Amazingly, I'm not being sarcastic. I'm really pumped for this tournament. We were really close to getting second last year, but we lost to Shawno by one penalty shot. Some of us are still fuming about that call.

Anyway.

I best be off because our bus leaves in 15 minutes. I'll post the scores if they're to my liking...or tolerance.

Benjamin Daniel needs to learn the concept of PATIENCE.

I can sum up last year's soccer season with two words: we sucked. Today's game doesn't even deserve a pronoun. However, there are so many choice words I could use but shouldn't and won't, so I shall refrain from discussing the matter any further. We have a tournament this Saturday, and believe me, I am TRYING to stay optimistic, but it is currently rather difficult.

So.

There you go Oh Impatient One.

Cloud 13 (Clouds 9-12 had their "no vacancy" signs up)

So. Easter was nice. I always liked Easter. Very peaceful. No risk of being trampled by late shoppers, or gift-returners. This year's Easter was particularily nice, erm, to say the least. And I thought I was having a great day when I got the Chronicles of Narnia DVD and a gift card to Chico's.

But enough about my splendid yesterday. Today we had an excellent soccer practice in which I beat my coach in a shooting game. I'm quite proud of that, and probably won't drop it for quite some time. Eh, nevermind, I like Pam, she's a good kid. I'll drop it by next season.

España!

Ese teclados es muy er....confusing. Yo no sé para usar el computador. Ben hablé en MSN, pero yo no responde para yo no como sé.

Yeah, okay, I´m done typing in Spanish, it´s too hard. We´re in La Costa del Sol, Málaga today. The Mediterranean is AWESOME. When we arrived, it was colder than it was that morning when we were in Granada, but I still went in up to my neck. Jon tried to push me over, but he couldn´t, so we just splashed obnoxious amounts of water on each other. I still taste like salt.

We´re taking the hydro-foil to Tangiers tomorrow morning. This is the part of the trip I´ve been most looking forward to. Our guide, Violeta, explained it was an entirely Muslim city, so there´s sure to be really interesting architecture. Plus, the economy is a trade system, so we´ll have to barter with the vendors. I´m excited.

I love Spain. I could definitely come here again, and it´s made me less wary of studying abroad. This is the only surefire way to make another language stick in your brain. However, as much as I love it here, the presents I got for people are getting rather heavy, and I´m sick of carrying them. Maybe all of you should just come here, so I don´t have to carry them anymore, and then I don´t have to leave. That´d be nice. Ah well, ´nough dreaming for now. Hafta get back to the room. The hotel is nearly entirely elderly Germans and Britains, and, as amusing as the rummy game is that´s going on behind me in which case the grey-haired British woman should get rid of that Queen of Spades as soon as possible, I´m getting rather sleepy, and Lilah´s nearly done with her magazine. Carmon´s probably still watching tennis. Think I´ll make her switch it to German fútbol. Buenas noches!
