Ugh.......it's so humid. Erin, Mitch, Ryan, and I went to go see Over the Hedge to get out of the heat for a bit. While the air conditioning was a relief, the movie wasn't. Quite frankly, it sucked. Very disappointed. Oh well. Luckily, I'm probably going to dad's tonight, and he's got air conditioning! Yay!

Interesting

You Are Duck
Exotic and unusual, you are a bit of a rare bird - literally. You're known for being soft and succulent, though at times you can be a bit greasy.

I like Sundays. They're generally quiet, and since I don't have to work today, I can pretty much do whatever the heck I want. Doesn't amount to much, I'm afraid. Played with the Kroghs and two people from Algoma for church. We held the service at the fair, so there were flies everywhere. I think I squished one while I was playing the hand drum. Not many people showed up; I was kinda disappointed. Ah well, at least we had a group, that's better than nothing.

I've with Dad for the weekend; Mom and Ryan are in Illinois visiting my Aunt Liz, Uncle Dan, and cousin Tyler. We went to see Lady in the Water last night, which ended up being a very good movie (which I expected, considering who the writer/director is). Kelli kept hiding behind her sweatshirt; she was almost as entertaining as the movie was.

That'd be it for now. Must pay a visit to Erin and pick up a CD, then it's probably sketching all day. It's a good thing I have time for it again, I've forgotten how much I enjoy it.

I killed 32 flies at work yesterday. I'm like the Xena Warrior Princess of KC, without the battle cry. I should make my own battle cry. Any suggestions?

A Chance of Change

It's uncanny how much a sudden rainfall improved my mood this afternoon. I was just sitting in the kitchen, staring out the window while attempting to enjoy some LeanCuisine (blegh) when out of the blue (er, grey, rather) it started to downpour. And it wasn't one of those flimsy, gusty rains. Just nice, vertical streams of water falling from the sky. The rhythm on the window is really soothing, as is the scent. Great, now I sound like I'm selling the "Mystical Earth" CD and incense collection that I saw in Sedona.

It's odd, adjusting to the changes taking place in my life. The beginning of this year is going to be like a new chapter, which is weird; you'd think that'd start after I left for college. Too many things have flip-flopped, adapted, or disappeared completely. It's like the plot completely changed in one fell swoop. A best friend became a complete enemy, a once-predicted enemy is becoming a good friend. This is the part of the battle in which you realize they put you in charge, and with good reason. I've quietly put up with some things for too long, and now it's time to confront them. I can do this.

I think.
