Stupid librarians must have found that I installed AIM on this computer, because they took it off. So I promptly re-installed it. Hahaha.
So I lectured Jeremy today, about his smoking habit and the fact that he wouldn't stand up for himself and tell his friends that he didn't want to go to a strip club for his bachelor party. That was fun. He didn't know what to say. All he could manage was a mumbled "shut up." But hey, he's the one that asked me for my opinion. He actually skipped his second smoke break. I didn't say anything because I'd figured I had said enough, but I was proud of him.
I'd best be off. Mum was making eggs for dinner, and that was about an hour ago, so I probably should have left a bit earlier. Ah well. Whatever's not left I can just eat at Kelli's house. It's like an all-day buffet there.

Don't think of yourself as an ugly human, but as a beautiful monkey!
So I sent off my short to the film contest. Unfortunately, you're supposed to be eighteen to enter. Logically, I fibbed a bit. Now I am grandpa's "favorite 1988 Ashley". No worries, I've been told that I look twenty seven now. I don't think I'll appreciate that fact so much when I'm in middle age.
Work should be interesting today. Carrie's last night, and she's not really planning on coming back to work, which is understandable but sucky all the same. We watched Aqua Teen Hunger Force last night, and made a mess of her kitchen, which was amusing. We were mixing cranberry concentrate and pink lemonade mix...it looked like everything was splattered with blood by the time we were done. And we found out, unfortunately, that ice tea shakes are not very appetizing. Tonight I'm going over to Kayla's to hang out with her, Meg, and Carrie. Should be fun. And hormonal. And involving lots of chocolate and reruns of Friends.
Well, I should probably use my time more wiselier and call up Elmhurst. Toodles.
Ew. I'm never using toodles again. Yuck.

Hmm...I'm sleepy...zzz...
It's probably not a good idea to fall alseep in the library, however. As much as Vicki loves me, I highly doubt she will appreciate me drooling on the keyboard, which will cause it to short-circuit, and cost me money that I assume I am not in the possession of. Quite the debocle that could create.
Marching band started today, which was fun. Call me an uber geek, but I like marching band. This year we're playing a compilation of Queen. Woot! Another One Bites the Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, and, of course, Bohemian Rahpsody. Makes me happy. Of course, I would have been happier if I could have convinced people to pick the Beatles show, but, alas...
Anyway, I must go to Erin's to pick up our house key, because she was kind enough to take care of our dogs while we were away. Yes, she is standing behind me.

The Good and the Bad (and the Ugly (Westerns rock))
The Good
1) Both Crown and St. Kate's were awesome colleges. I can definetly see myself going to either of them.
2) I have a very good chance of playing collegiate soccer. Crown's coach rocks, and he wants me to be keeper. Yes, he is aware of my lack of honed skill.
3) My family acted like a family again. For once. Greatly appreciated.
4) I'm not afraid of leaving anymore.
The Bad
1) Can't decide between the two colleges, and I still have five more to visit.
2) College is incredibly expensive, but I really cannot picture myself at a school in state. I've tried. It doesn't fit.
3) I don't like the insecurity of hope.
4) Ben was home for a week and I didn't get to see him all that much. He didn't really seem to care all too much, either. I had a lot to tell him.

5) I deleted the last post awhile ago, and it keeps showing up. Very annoying considering it was a very false alarm.
6) I didn't get to eat my pie yet.Thursday, August 03, 2006
Temporary Absence
Our computer is in critical condition at the moment, so I will not be able to post as often as...well, nevermind, I didn't really post all that much to begin with. But posting will be even more limited than what it was. Sorry.
We had the senior meeting for one-act today. That was interesting. I hope to God it turns out alright. Can't say I'm not worried. People getting big heads, trying to take the lead of everything, assuming they're going to get a part, assuming they're going to get a part just because they're a senior, assuming they're going to get the lead because they're a senior...It's all very frustrating. I just hope Ms. Fritsch's head doesn't explode with the drama, scripted and improvised.
On a high note, we played Scrabble for an hour because no one was coming to eat due to the storm, yesterday.
